Drawers for the built in desk in the wood shop finished

did you say you used 4mm DOMINO joinery for the drawer boxes? - presumably 1/2" plywood?
I am embarking on base cabinets with full extension drawers for my new workbench. Trying to decide what size Domino to use for the case work as well 18mm Russian Birch. Thinking 8mm would work well here gicing the matereial strength.

Next building some other faceframe casework with 3/4 Maple hardwood veneer. Wondering whether 6mm Domino is the way to go with this material.

thoughts and experience from all are welcome since this will be my first Domino joinery experience.

I think 6mm would be good for both. The rule of 1/3 the size of the material would, if my 10th grade math holds up, make that 6 for both.

6mm Domino sounds like I can't go wrong. The 5mm Dominos which came with the DF500 did seem not well suited for anyting made of plywood unless for attaching faceframes to the case.

as to the drawerboxes: I wonder if I shouldn't just make them with box joints all around and be donbe with it? Or is the 444mm Domino really the way to go?

thanks for the feedback. [smile]

Cleaned up the desk today.
