Just a quick word of caution to watch your digits when plunging into thin material. Make sure they're out of the way of the path of the cutter and the depth is set correctly.  [wink]

Thank you for the kind words Shane. Also, thank you for the words of advice...I was certainly aware of the plunge depth setting and also where my hands were. I always check and check again especially when working with thinner materials.

Thanks Shane, we were really pleased with the way it went and I have even bigger dreams for next year. Is Christian gonna be posting his thoughts? I would love to know what he thought about this grassroots operation. I can tell you that there were 17 guys who wanted to buy more Festools,  Eric

I have to believe that this event (organized by users) is unprecedented in most any industry (certainly in woodworking).  It really demonstrates a high degree of loyalty to a particular brand.  [not worthy]  [thumbs up]
