Drilling advice

Hi guys would appreciate some advice re drills

Got my domino this week .. So am obviously now planing my next green fix (not got the shakes yet domino was quite a big hit lol)

Have currently got Bosch sds hammer drill, hilti 36v cordless hammer drill ,Panasonic 14.4v drill/driver ,Panasonic 14.4v impact driver,dewalt 12v drywall gun,dewalt12v angle dril,Makita 110v pistol drill

Think might try and sell all of above (I know prob won't get much but it will all help)

And then buy festool 18v pdc and prc drills set versions so get all the chucks (angle depth stop ect)
And one of the new corded drills (not shure wich one yet)

Think I will then be coverd for all drilling with 3no drills

What's your thoughts

Obviously will then move onto centrotec but have a little plan building up for that ,but one thing at a time

I haven't gotten to the point that I am totally sold on the Festool drills, but if I were going that way I think I'd get the PDC just like you are planning.

In the meantime I'm dumping all my DeWalt tools. I'm keeping my M12 Milwaukee stuff since I like it so much, but I am still looking at options to replace my 18 Volt DeWalt cordless stuff.

Wow

Sold all my dewalt 18v cordless stuff about 2 years ago .never really work far away from 110v supply .and found the bats just got weaker and weaker

Think 18v festool will only expand the range in time

Although most of my guys use 18v Makita and they do just about everything cordless

I got me the CSX and the T-18 with the Centrotec Installers kit and the ZOBO drill bit set.  Couldn't be happier [big grin]

I have had the PDC 18 and BHC 18 for a couple of weeks and am more than happy so far. The pdc will sink any thing that you can get a bit for. Used it on 180mm timberlocs right down to 32mm plaster board screws and it just does it with finesse and control. I kept my makita18 impact but so far it's in the van. Driving screws on timber framing without the clatter--bliss  [big grin] The torque available on the bit wow! [eek] With decent bits there is no cam out.
The BHC is a hole drilling beast but is light and easy to handle.Battened out a wall yesterday drilling over 150 7mm holes into brick on one battery and mostly one handed. I do need to get the sds/centrotec adapter so I can have one drill drilling and one driving.
The drills are on site and the other guys all shout "how much,no drill worth that etc "  Then they use them and price is ignored as they realise the advantage of true control and system.
