The DTS400 is starting to blow my mind. Festool engineers could not have possibly had any idea how many solutions to problems they have never seen that this tool possesses. Today, the drywall around these casings. This is a typical scenario for us, as architects love to pack inside corners with doors that have tiny wall reveals.

As a painter, I cannot even tell you how much it sucks to go into these corners with a sponge. Actually I can. It sucks. You can feel it right down to your knucklebones.  I have video of the DTS riding this little race course if anyone is curious to see how that might go.

Scot,

Let's see the video - or else it didn't happen and the DTS400 really doesn't exist!  [poke] [poke] [poke]

Funny you say that, Peter. Todd, who you met in Providence, and I have a long standing mantra that applies to all things from snowboarding to mountain biking to work: "The very best things never get photographed." While that does hold true for me, this little deal with the 400 today was one of "situations" where you think "ok, I will try this, and I am not sure how it will go" and it goes like it was made for it. I have a few seconds of footage of the tool riding that inside corner and getting the larger flat but also point right into the inside corner and cleaning it out. It was a pain  to mud and there was a bit of residual in the joint. Fun stuff.

I love the DTS400 -- it is one of those little Festool gems...for me using it to finish sand along edges on furniture makes this one sander a must-have and it can be quite aggressive with the courser grit papers.

Maybe its just a simple matter of geometry, the way this one comes in so handy, but it continues to impress. [attachimg=#]
