Dual MFT3 alignment

Have one lightly used MFT3 and one new, unused one.  Want to connect side by side.

Has someone developed a procedure for alignment?

Using 2 table connectors the side profiles do not align perfectly, I have a small gap at one end.  Then, with the aid of a large precision right triangle placed across both tables and Quas dogs, I can see that alignment at one point is off something like .040 in.

Yes, if I fiddle a little with table connectors, I can change the alignment somewhat, but so far can not eliminate.

Suggestion most welcome.

I have the older MFT models, rather than the MFT/3s, so there may be some differences.  On mine, I also found that the side profiles didn't align well enough.  So, I loosened the profile-to-corner connections and, with the aid of a table connector slid into the profile to gain leverage, adjusted the profiles such that they would align correctly and retightened the connecting bolts.  Other that that issue, I use a long level that I set across the two tables to assure that the two tops are in the same plane.  I currently require wedges to place under the legs of the MFTs as the single adjustable leg of each table is insufficient to position the two tables on the same plane.  Having levelers on all four legs of each table would make this process much better.  Since you are using Qwas dogs, you may want to get the holes in the two tables in alignment too.  Here, you will probably want to get the tables joined together first then, if needed, loosen the tops and align the holes before retightening.  Good luck.
