What do you guys do with the festools that returned to you during the 30 day return period. You cant sell them as new so do/would you sell the to a customers as a used tool?

Just curious.

Dealers send tools returned under the 30-day return policy to Festool. In the US, they are not resold to customers with the exception of something like the reconditioned tool sale we had last year, which only happens every 3-4 years. The tools are used by Festool employees, in our training centers, and I believe may be sold to dealers as demo tools upon request.

In reality, we don't get a lot of tools returned. So, it's not an issue of having a stockpile of them.

that 39 30 day returns policy is a trick.
they let you take the tools home knowing that you can bring it back if you dont like it. they know  that you will fall in love and keep it. id say that 1%or less are returned, but its usually to upgrade id guess

Thanks foir the responses guys.

Makes sense b/c I haven't seen any of the tools  for sale at the dealers :>(.

It was just a thought

Hahahaha so true.....

Is this what Amazon does with its returned Festools as well?  Or is Amazon more of a loose cannon type of Festool dealer?
