I am considering the oneida dust deputy for my ct22 but am wishing the cyclone part itself were encased in a systainer as well so I can stack things on top of it. Any idea if that can be done?  I'd rather go that route than what must be a Kevlar, silk lined, gold trimmed, diamond encrusted long life bag,  [big grin]. I guess the other option would be to get a kit and two systainers and try and jimmy one up myself. What do you think.

Currently I have the systainer for my TS55 on top of it and when breaking down sheet goods into drawer/cabinet sized pieces, its so convenient to just  swivel and add the new piece to the stack.  Then when I'm all done, all the parts are right there for me to assemble.

I have the Clearvue, rather than the Oneida, but still I cannot see how your idea would work well.  One problem is gong to be the overall height of the setup.  The bucket, cyclone and area for the output hose to connect at the top of the cyclone takes a good bit of height, and adding anything to the top would be rather iffy.

For your situation, you might be much better off to just get a Systainer Cart and place a stack on that.  Before I got my cyclone I would use the short stack atop my CT as a place to set down the tool du jour.  Now that my cyclone occupies that space, I use an empty Systainer-1 that tops the stack on a Systainer Cart to facilitate that need.

So, before you start dissecting a perfectly good Systainer, consider the overall height that a cyclone setup requires and the resulting height of the top of your contraption.

dang, didnt think of that. not sure what version a ts55 systainer is but it's been pretty much just right for me by the time I'm done stacking stuff.

Not sure I want another thing rolling around in my garage, I am trying to minimize the things that take up floor space.

A TS55 comes in a Systainer-4.  The top is about 28" heigh when latched atop the CT22, and about 32" with the Hose Garage installed.  My Clearvue cyclone mounted on a 5-gallon bucket and placed atop my CT22 is about 56" tall when the bend of D50 hose is included in the equation -- add another 4" for the Hose Garage.  So, you see the problem with your idea...

Zapa, try the search function here.  There is definitely a step by step how to, pictures included, with a custom made cyclone separator housed in a systainer on here.
