Dust Extractor Hoses

There are 2 hoses listed as dust extractor accessories that I am confused about:
1.27/22mm
2.27/32mm

First, I just want to be sure both of these are compatible with the normal 27mm connection on tools like the TS55, routers, Dominos, and sanders.

Second, is the purpose of the 27/32mm hose to increase the suction? Is it a good choice for all the tools (sanders included)?

Third, is the 27/22 mm hose best for sanders because it is more forgiving? Maybe not as much suction though . . .

D27/22 is mainly for sanders

The conical hose is to increase suction. The fatter end near the vac doesn't bother anyone, while still having the flexible thinner tool-end.

general rule is larger diameter is going to give you more/better suction.  However, the larger the hose the more it can become a nuisance when hooked to a tool.  Things like sanders, domino etc. the smaller the better for easy maneuverability and they dont require as much suction most sanders require the CT to be turned down anyways.  Something like a track saw it isnt as critical and larger hose does better job.  I will also add the longer the hose = less suction so I try to keep my hose as short as possible.  Also the braided sleeve tends to make the hose much stiffer so thats another thing to consider.  I have found I prefer no sleeve on my hose for sanders, domino etc. "when" hung from above.  if the hose is going to not be used with some type of overhead suspension or boom arm the braided cover tends to be better as it doesn't catch on the edge.  I have a few different hoses one about 8' no sleeve for sanding etc. with the overhead connection.  One about 9' with braid,  and  short one only 24" or so for CT to mitersaw. Planex hose, I would like to get one more longer one for general cleanup possibly the larger diameter.  But Im unsure how it would fit in my ct36ac hose garage as the 9 footer seems to be pushing the limit.

So the 27/32 mm hose would have 27 mm connection on the end toward the tool and would widen to 32 mm through the body of the hose?

Yes...There are still 2 hoses available...they were released back in 2015. The first is a 5M long hose that tapers from 22 mm to 27 mm and the second hose is a 10M long hose that tapers from 22 mm to 32 mm. I use the 22 mm to 27 mm hose regularly and it's really nice...a high recommend while they're still available. Actually I'm surprised they've lasted this long.

Yes, the flexibility of 27 at the tool end, while having slightly less air resistance because of the bigger cross section near the vac.
It's really nice. The current smooth hoses are a big upgrade compared to the ribbed hoses anyway.

Is the 32/27 mm flexible enough to use for sanders? I'm was trying to find a higher volume hose to use with routers, saw, and Domino without losing flexibility. Sounds like maybe the 27/22mm is made for sanders and maybe the Domino but not other tools. I was hoping  to just buy one for all use. I currently have my 27mm hose mounted on the Festool overarm on my CT48. It works fine for most things but sometimes I wish I had a little more suction for the router and saw. The 32mm hose I have is just too inflexible for use on sanders and I've tried using a small section of 27mm connected to the 32 mm but that really is not ideal. Probably just keep things the way they are. Saves me some money and it works well most of the time.

The biggest restriction is in the hose end on the tool side; the D27 tool end is massively restrictive compared to the D36 tool end. For tools where the D27 end goes over (OF-1010, sanders) you can only use a D27 end. But for the TS, or EHL... the D36 tool end can fit over the connection on the tool instead of 'in the tool' like D27 hose end, massively increasing cross section.
