A Hover to me is an upright vacuum cleaner *shrugs*
My recommendation would not be to use an adapter as it will make the end of the hose stiff right where the most flexibility is needed. The best option is a D27 new style hose in a 3.5m or my preferred 5m length. The hoses are super flexible and should plug into most any shop type vacuum cleaner as they are pretty universal. Use what you got. I have the same vac brand and started using it with a Bosch hose which has a 27mm end, but is a 35mm hose. Yes the Festool hose will plug straight in as the vac ends are pretty standardized. Eventually the filter will plug and need to be cleaned but it will get you started. A Dust Deputy helps remove most of the dust before getting into the vac, but throwing money at a basic vac doesn't make much sense (From someone who did just that). OR you can buy a Festool dust collector that comes WITH the right hose, but that comes at a much higher cost.
This hose is cheap and ready to go! BUT it is not anti-static, although I used one for over a year with no issues. "Bosch VAC005"
By the time you buy both replacement Festool ends and the hose you might have well bought the superior Festool hose, but this hose is anti-static. "BOSCH VAC008" I am not sure of the part numbers needed for the Festool parts.
I will say one of the best reasons I love my Festool vac over the SUPER LOUD Vacmaster is well I hate loud noises. Vacmaster is a powerful vac though.
Edit: Oh Festool allows the suction to be reduced which is good when sanding but you can create a hole in the hose system easily enough.

Not really. It has a pleated filter and a filter bag just like most "dust extractors". Will it filter to the same micron level as a HEPA rated CT ? Doubtful, but with a suitable hose it will be good enough to use indoors.
PW - the Vacmaster shows as shipping with a tapered stepdown " Universal Power Tool Adaptor" that should easily mate to a festool sander.
I'd suggest getting one of these hoses instead, because they are longer and have locking adapters that will fit practically any powertool you have. Pick your length, static/anti-static, 2 adapters/ multi adapters, ect.....

The Bosch VAC005 is a quality hose, I have a couple. They were a real steal a couple of years ago when they sold for $20-$25 [eek] However, I find them a too large and stiff for use with a small sander.

The filtering capability of a pleated secondary filter coupled to a paper of fleece bag is quite good. Not to HEPA levels, but most guys don't need that level anyway. Besides, if the entire vacuum isn't completely sealed and certified - a HEPA rated filter on its own rather wasted.
Remember that the first two generation of CT's had plain ol' pleated filters and paper bags (same as the vacumaster) and y'all thought they'd hung the moon.
PW's vac will easily make for clean enough sanding indoors. No need to spend 500-1000 for .00x% better filtration on it's own. Now, if one wants 15A tool triggering, hose storage, systainer storage, best in class hose with longer reach, and less noise along with better filtration - then a CT is arguably the best choice. Not everyone needs or wants all those though.
