can i use my 18v 5.2 ah batteries in a dwc drywall auto gun witch is an 18 v 4.2 ah machine thanks festoolers

Yup. You can also use 3ah if you have them. 18v will also accept 12v and 15v units

Thanks a lot everyone also will any collated screws fit the machine Like can i use the forgesteel cheaper ones or do i need Senco which ones do you all use thanks
 
I chuck any old screw through it. Doesn't seem to make any difference. Drives them all

I also have the DWC, but use any other (cheap) screws.
The Festool ones are the most expensive screws you can find!

I use Evolution Ø3.9x35 at €9 excl.VAT for 1,000 and the Festools are €26 for 1,000.
That's nearly three times more expensive!
You'll find cheaper ones in GB also.
 
I gave up on the cheap and cheerful collated screws a few years back as I had a bulk order from Screwfix, so many of them had filled in heads I ending up chucking 20000 screws out... I get a brand name now (Senco or similar) but look for a good deal online.
For the batts, I recently got a new 2,6ah batt for my DWC - it is much lighter to use overhead and when hanging off my pocket - no problems for battery life either, will do a day.
