Has anyone here made the switch from Dynabrade to the Festool Pneumatic Sanders ?  It is an expensive switch and wondering if it is worth it......

Also, how about Festool electric sander vs pneumatic ?  anyone here with experience making that transition ?  was it worth it ?

any feedback and comments would be greatly appreciated.....

Stumbled upon this product information today from Dynabrade. There was a time when Dynabrade was the hot setup and they were very expensive to purchase, but all the body shops used them at the time. The current prices aren't much different than the prices were 15 years ago.  [blink]

What really surprised me is they still offer a 6" sander with a 9.5 mm orbit with NO DUST COLLECTION.  [eek]  That must be a real mess to use.

You don't show your location, but if you are in the US, check the Recon site (Oneanddone).  They have the LEX 3 150/7 at 40% off.

If you click on the one and done listing it takes you to the current single listing (which at the moment is a 150 rotex), am I missing something?

Sorry-will try to explain.  Oneanddone will only list the first item, then when that item (however many) is sold, it goes to the next item.  You cannot buy the next item until the first item sells.  If you go to FestoolRecon then scroll diwb to Festool USA section and click on Oneanddone it will show you all the items presently listed.  If you just go to oneanddone and not through FestoolRecon, you will only see the first item. THe Lex 3 150/7 is about six back and is for sale for $345, or 40%.  Most items are only 20% off.  Makes me wonder if this is going to be discontinued?

Items may be listed for only minutes or for hours and hours.  The Lex has been up more than once recently.  There are guys on FOG that can tell you how to have your phone alert you when your item is coming up.  I was happy with my 3G flip phone, so I am not one of those people.  If you are interested in that app on your phone, just ask and I am sure someone can help you.

Sometimes (especially around Holidays) the gates are wide open and everything they have is for sale.  Don't ask me to figure out Festool Marketing.

Happy Festooling!!
