Earlex Spray Station HV5500 HVLP - have you used this

I saw this at a woodworking show, it looked pretty nice. However it's cheap. it's on sale for $299 at wood craft. I know you get what you pay for. Does anyone have any experience with this? I don't do a ton of painting or finishing however I would do more if I had a hvlp. I don't have a ton of space so the small size is a pro for me.

I think that I have the same Earlex as Shane which is different than you have.  Initially I was a fan.  However I can say if I were in your situation I would save and buy something different.

Yeah, mine is the 5000, I think.

I saw the 5500 and actually thought that the fit and finish was of a lower quality despite being a newer version.

There are some threads here on the forum if you do a search on the 5000 and/or 5500.

I like mine for what I've used it for so far.

Edit: Let me qualify that last statement. I don't spray finishes or paint for a living. There are better units out there. But I think I got my money's worth with the few projects I've used it on versus applying by hand.
