These were a few pieces that caught my attention at the Early American Art Exhibit at the Met.

Thanks for posting.  I was at the Met maybe a year ago and was blown away by a room/stairway in the American Wing entirely of oak, much of it quarter sawn - some figured.  Beautiful work.  Maybe you know it.

Wasn't this the Frank Lloyd Wright room? It was a living room with fire place on the west wall. If so, I have another thread with pics of this. There were interesting contributions to this thread, also.

That FLW gallery is a favorite, but I'm talking about Room 741.  Found it first try on the museum map!  I remembered its location well because someday I'll return to see it again.
