For all of you that have used the Guide Stop and Edge Guide, can you tell me how useful it is?  What applications does it excel in?  Just some basic thoughts for someone who is going to buy this set.

I have used the guide stops when cutting a hole in kitchen worktops for sinks or hobs.  I clamp the rail on my line, then position the stops for the beginning & end of the cut.  I have to finish the cut with a hand saw or jig saw but the ts55 makes a lovely job & no risk of over cutting & ruining the worktop.

Hope this helps, Woodguy

I just ordered them for an OF1000 router, expecting delivery on Monday. As far as an edge guide, I use them quite a bit. I've had good luck with my Bosch edge guide with micro adjust. It gets used for fluting, dados, and grooves quite a bit. There is no reason the Festool with the micro adjust shouldn't be just as useful. OTOH, I'm not sure about the guide stop yet. It may see some work for dado and groove work. I'll let you know after they arrive and I've had a chance to try 'em out.

if you use the stops for the TS 55/75 they will work with the routers.

I adapted a rail by adding a tape inside the stop slot

The pic is a bit fuzzy but it shows the idea
