I ran into a problem with my Edgebander KA65. The glue wouldn’t stop coming out.
I opened the machine (out of warranty anyway) and cleaned it thoroughly, and it turns out the gasket in the heat sink had disintegrated and blocked the mechanism that opens and closes the nozzle.
I understand that Festool doesn’t sell any spare parts for the edgebander due to its complexity. But I don’t see the point in spending hundreds of dollars when it’s literally just a missing gasket.
Can someone tell me what material this gasket is made of before I start experimenting? I found a fragment of it, and it looks like it’s made of some kind of coated graphite?
