Emtech 6500, Is it ok to be sprayed airless? I have 210/310 FFLP tips. Target coatings website says "use medium tip"

I had a failed attempt shooting HSF5000 with my HVLP and I dont want to risk it with the 6500 after I spend hours "fixing" the attempt.

Load up your sprayer and try it on a sample piece. I don’t see why an airless wouldn’t work well if you can’t get it to spray correctly with your HVLP. I’m guessing it’s too thick for your HVLP.

I spray emtech primer and tinted lacquer with an AAA unit. I upgraded after my apollo 5 Turbine hvlp struggled and spit that primer out. So much more control now.

Never used your unit, so hard to say but I can spray airless with the AAA and it is fast and heavy with FF tips. I had to lay my panels dead level to avoid sag/puddling. Spraying vertical would be a challenge.

Shot the cabinet today using the airless and FFLP310.

I fought sagging/runs but was able to wetsand them out, 2nd coat went nearly perfect as I moved ALOT quicker. The finish on this is just spectacular. I have a few minor problem areas but they are not visible.

Im considering laying a clear coat ontop to bring the sheen up, not sure though.

I may have missed this in a previous post, but could you share with which HVLP unit you were having trouble with the 6500 and which airless you're using now?
