End grain cutting board

Thought I'd have a go a making an end grain cutting board this weekend using black walnut and hard maple.
Ripped and dimensioned the stock on my P/T and table saw, then sanded to 340 grit with rotex 150 and mirka hand block ready for finish which was several coats of mineral oil and a final coat of homemade bees wax and mineral oil polish and buffed by hand.
Here's what I ended up with  [smile]

That is really outstanding!  Nice work.  I think the alternating pattern of the grain is what makes it extra special.
