I've been umm'ing and agh'ing about it for months now, and pricing up various combinations of tools at different stores. Also, I've been wondering if the Festool Roadshow might offer me some decent discounts, but it seems as though my local stop is not going to be offering much, and what they do offer will still most likely put their prices above those of others. So, I just got what I wanted, and stopped farting around!!
I've just taken delivery of a CXS and RO90, and am waiting for a TS55R, MFT/3, Sys-Roll, toolbox, and various clamps to wing their way to me. Happy days. Used the CSX a few times already, and have to say it's really very good. I'm pleasantly surprised at the power and torque, and build quality is excellent.
I need to lay some decking in the back, and want to make a new door for our shed, and also a box in some pipework in our hallway. I'm sure the Kapex would have been a good choice for some of this, but all things consider, I figured I'd get more use out of the MFT/3 + TS55R combination for the time being.
I see a T15 + 3 in my future somewhere, to replace my Makita drill/driver. Seems lighter but more powerful, and significantly better built.
Have to say, I think the Sys-roll will be a good investment - it looks useful simply as a way to store the few things I have in one place and be able to shift them around without knackering my back! Doubt I'll get much use out of the Toolbox though, but it was free, so can't complain.
