Escrow paypal payment

Hello all,

I would like to know how do you guys purchase your Festool from the classified section safely?

If a seller wants payment using Paypal, what is the correct procedure to ensure you receive your tool and the seller receive his funds?

Or do we use escrow.com which accepts paypal now.

I never ever had an issue buying or selling here. Unless you see a guy with one post selling out of the blue(we get that once in awhile)I would just use paypal or any other form of payment. Paypal is so pro buyer I dont see how you need escrow.com, IMHO that is for purchases like a car for 10,000 plus.

I have actually heard horror stores from sellers using paypal where the buyer lies and the seller ends up with no payment or the item they sold. It's the same thing with ebay, it's totally pro buyer these days. I hate paypal myself, I use it only when I have to.

Peace of mind is what that fee buys you.  I'll only go with "friends and family" or whatever if it's a dollar amount that won't hurt too badly if the deal goes south.

You just have to trust people. I sold few items here, never had a problem, but then its a buyer who takes greater risk.

Never thought twice about it. I just use PayPal and ship and or wait to receive the items. As a seller I wouldn't mess around with somebody who wanted to use escrow or some other variant. I may (probably will) get burned at some point but I chose to remain optimistic and spend the energy I could spend worrying on other more pleasurable things.
