Hi, Ive never owned a random orbit sander before so Im wondering if it is normal to be able to stop the rotation of the pad with your hand or not? When sanding, the rotational speed seems to vary depending on how much pressure. Its not stalling but it does slow down when the paper gets gummed up or if I press down a bit hard.
I just sanded 250 sq ft of heart pine. It took three hours but it sure came out nice.
