ETS 150 sander going off course due to the "jagging" phenomenon

Ok, I think we're running out of things to have you check. The only thing that comes to mind now is technique. Are you pushing down on the sander or just letting it do the work?

If the latter, then it may be time for you to contact Festool Australia or your dealer for assistance.

It is because the sanders spin in the opposite direction in Australia. So you have to turn the board around facing the opposite direction as well. You knew that , right  [huh]  [tongue]

That's funny!  [big grin]

Yesterday i took the sander, timber and discs to a friend's place. he also has an ETS 150/3 and it did exactly the same as mine. We compared the two sanders head to head with the same discs and got the same results.

Clearly no problem with the sander.

In this day and age of technology why don't you video these mysterious happenings.
One would get a clearer understanding of what you mean as you have this running on two or three other forums and don't want the offer of festool Australia's help a
quick video Brett, might help others determine what is happening.

Welcome to the FOG Frank. Great to see another Australian pop up.

Yes I agree, despite some attempts from some very respected and knowledgeable FOG members, this thread has become a big bore!  [eek] I for one have given up caring! I have only responded to welcome you.

The forum member "FenceFurniture" has been banned from the forum.

It was brought to my attention that he has an affiliation with a company that sells the microhole abrasives he was promoting. There are many posts by him on an Australian forum promoting the abrasives and offering to import and sell them. The brand name of the abrasives will be removed from his posts.

The reason for this action being taken was due to non disclosure of his relationship with a product manufacturer which is against our forum rules and deceptive to our members.
