ETS EC 150/5 Won’t Turn On - Repair Times

I received the ETS EC sander as a Christmas gift and finally got a chance to use it this past weekend. One hour in and it started randomly shutting-off. After it did it about 3 or so times I took a 15 minute break came back and it did it again a couple times then stopped turning back on all together. The company I bought it from won’t let me return in because it was its now been 40 days so I have to go through the warranty service…

Has anyone had a similar experience? Is there anything I could try or is this thing dead? How long is the usual turn around for a repair like this? Obviously I’m pretty disappointed with my experience so far.

Almost all of the information you need about turnaround times for this particular issue should be in the first post of that thread.

For most repairs, people see turnaround times in under a week including shipping.  Your distance to Indiana will make the biggest difference on that.  The 1-2-3 warranty has specific SLAs included with the repair times (I believe the "2" refers to a 2 day turnaround).

Thanks I literally just saw that post the second after I sent this. For those that are curious and want more details, my unit says 2021-09 on the bottom. I am guessing that is the manufacture date. Sounds like it might be part of the defective units, but that would be odd since it was seemly produced months after they identified a potential issue. I hope they wouldn’t continue to ship defective product after announcing a issue. I guess we will see.
