If you could take all of the best qualities of all your ex-girlfriends and put them into one girl, it would be the ets125, assuming it was a sander...or something like that. Its like your favorite old pair of sneakers. Only new. I like this sander.

Here's why. I share similar feelings for the ets150/5 and 150/3, but the 125 seems to come out the most.

Anyone else enjoy the ets as much as I do?

Scott    I have to tell you as my first Festool Sander my ETS 125 is a well used toy in my shop for my cabinet work. It to me is easy to handle has the ability to work easily and comfortably for long periods of time.
Next to my RO 90 my 125 is the heavy hitter in my shop

I also like the ETS 125 a lot. Mind you, I like all my Festool sanders. Don't think you can go wrong with any of them. Could you believe there are actually quite a number of people here who don't like the ETS 125 at all?

Most used sander for painters over here in Holland is the DTS 400 though. It is also my most used sander around the house. Rotex 150 is a good second. I mostly use the ETS 125 for doors because I want the finest finish possible on doors.

Well here is someone who doesn't really like the ETS 125,
Of all my sanders it's the one with the most narrow spectrum of use, the occasions where it is worth taking out of the systainer are pretty much non-existent in my case.

In normal situations i will use the ETS 150/5 exclusively before applying any finish because time is money and it leaves a surprisingly good finish for a 5mm stroke, i use a small stroke sander between coats. When sanding between finish coats chances are that the workpiece is assembled and contains many corners and edges, so a round pad sander is out of the question.  So i do my finish sanding with a DTS400.

I could use the 125 before assembly and before finish, but for me the slight increase in finish quality is not worth doubling my sanding time.
I also noticed this one has the biggest tendency to leave swirl marks.

I could sell it but something stops me from doing that.
