Hi all,
given Festool is discontinuing the BS 105 E, I have decided to get one while stocks are still around.
Originally, I wanted the BS105, so got a broken one for repair from friend but it turned out it was a write-off.. So in for a new one.
My main question is, what are the advantages of the BS 105 E versus the BS 75 E (set versions assumed) and vice versa ?
What does the 75 E do that is not practical with the 105 E ? What does the BS 105 E do that is not practical with the 75 E ?
E.g. does the 105 mm width help significantly when working on, say, 4" wide stock ?
My "main use" is pretty much undefined. Expect to stick with it the next 10yrs and likely more. Some small flooring work is already lined up, some beams flattening likely too.
Rest is up to the future. Expect 90% use to be with the frame.
