I have two MFT3s.  One I bought new, then another that I found used for a good price.  I now have two sets of hardware and think I might as well sell one set. But, I can't get rid of this pesky feeling that I will wish I had another set some day.  Can anyone think of a good use for a second set?

If you have the room...then that would be a 'no brainer' to keep it. I have 2 and can tell you that 2 is better than one in many situations.

Oh, I realize that my posting wasn't clear.  I am keeping the second table, it is just the hardware-fence, rail, angle unit etc...that I am thinking about selling.  Thanks for the response though, you are right 2 MFTs are definitely better than one.

I would keep it...unless you have room for a 3rd MFT/3 and can get half of what that would cost for the extra hardward...then I would go for the 3rd one...

Best,
Todd

Dane,

I think that I understand now...and I would indeed keep the hardware as well. Festool parts/hardware have come in handy for me over the years for MFT jigs, etc.

Dane,

I agree with the others about keeping the accessories.  If you try to sell it you are dealing with a relatively small field of interest, that is only Festoolians and only those with an MFT/3 who need accessories.  The difference between the standard MFT/3 and the basic is only about $100 for the accessories, and that's new.  So how much do you think you will get?

If you need to replace any parts, you have them right there, no waiting.

Solid points.  I think I will keep them.  Never know what will come up.  I probably sell the rail though, I've got too many rails as-is.  Anyone need a shorty rail?

I was just considering another mft/3 the other day. When wondering if I should get the basic or complete; It seemed like there was a lot of value to the complete and the extra angle unit and fence. I could see it being set to 90 degrees and being nice for a stop fence.
