Family Room Built In Units

Ronnie:
Looks good, really warms up the room
I like the colour of the cabinets and the contrast with the ceiling and the back of the cabinets. The bead board backing and finish really helps unite the shelves with the rest of the room.
How do you apply your finish, brush spray etc.?

I agree, great color and use of the beadboard.  How says people over there don't want built-ins!

Thank God, someone finally did a built in, in something besides white. Eric

Looks great. Thanks for posting.
Nice simple design  I agree with Eric to many white built ins. I'm guilty. !!!!

nice design and excellent choice of materials and color to compliment the stone!

What is the beadboard back made from?

neil

Thank you.  The beadboard back was pine and we matched the stain to the pine ceiling that was already completed.

Thanks. When I can I use HVLP sprayer, sometimes when a lot of construction is on site it is a brush and very high quality latex.  This particular project was sprayed and some touch up was required on site after install.

I agree that white can be boring, however I have plenty of white projects to post as well!  It is nice when I can do something besides white, but sometimes the client dictates the color!

that came out great, what program did you use to render the built ins?

Thanks.  I use Google skectchup for a quick to scale rendering, on this one I went further than many with adding color and texture to help sell the (Not White) concept.

I too have done many, many white built in's!  I will post plenty here in the future!  When a client insists on white, I sometimes try to convince them to do the back in a different color or stained backboard to give it some extra pop!  It really makes a difference.

Beautiful...the color brings everything together.  Love the stone and fireplace mantel.  Thanks for posting.
