As the title says, I'm about to get a decent pneumatic framing nailer, not sure which direction to take and a bit of advice on Fasco would be appreciated.

I've looked at Senco, Dewalt, Paslode and Fasco as contenders but being UK based we don't have a lot of info on Facso and they seem to have a bigger following in the US.

Can anyone shed any light on this, is Fasco a trusted brand and how does it fair against the other brands up there ^.

I'm definitely going the pneumatic route, tried a few cordless nailers and they didn't instill confidence. I have decent air supply equipment and don't need the mobility aspect of the battery / gas options.

In the US the Hitachi NR83A2 is pretty much the gold standard when it comes to framing nailers.

The Hitachi version I mentioned above wasn’t included in the Pro Tool Reviews Framing Nailer Shootout, but their article probably got a lot of good info that you might find helpful.

The Fasco wasn’t included in their shootout, but here’s a review of it:https://www.protoolreviews.com/tools/air/framing-nailers/fasco-framing-nailer-and-scrailer/41448/

Thanks Pnw painter.

Will have a read through.

I'm struggling to get Hitachi air nailers in the UK although I suspect they are going through a re-brand at the moment anyhow.

Does Fasco have any credibility in the US, is it one to watch or avoid?

Purchased a Milwaukee  framing nailer  a few  weeks  ago
The  M18 FFN-502C.
Very  happy so far. Perhaps  when  it gets really  used  and  stands  up to  the workload  I'll  be  even happier.

The  lack  of  mis-firing  is  what I find  satisfying. In comparison  to my  Senco  gas  framing nailer.
The extra  weight  does  require  a  bit  of getting used  too.
Anyway  apologies  for  dragging  up an old    post  but  wasn't sure  where else  to post.

+1 on this, the Hitachi (now "Metabo HPT") NR83 series of framing nailers are tough, no-nonsense framing nailers common on professional work sites.

Be sure to check which collation version you're getting (21 degree or 30 degree), and if the available fasteners are compliant with your local building codes.

Fasco nail guns are a pretty significant notch up in quality from Senco, DeWilt, Paslode. BeA nailers are also good.
