Fein accessories on a Festool hose?

I did a search and got conflicting info.

Can Fein vacuum accessories be used on the narrow (they come in two sizes don't they) Festool hose, with the standard end in place?

The Fein vacuum accessories work and are about 1/3 the price of the equivalent Festool versions.

My favorite Fein accessory is their "Y" fitting, it fits right into the Festool collectors. I don't like how the Festool "Y" it sticks out of the collector so far and the Fein is 1/2 the price to boot.

Who knows maybe the Festool "Y" sticking out so far is a benefit for some.
