I love my Turbo II. If it weren't for hauling around Systainers, a CT would be a hard buy over another Turbo vac.
Our only Festool dealer in Chicago just started carrying those Imperial blades. Nice blades for sure. I'm not too thrilled about the 10 pack sales package though. It's a bit of a hit all at once. Our dealer is at least allowing us to combine different blade types into a 10 pack. Very nice of them, go WW. Are you guys also getting the 10 packs or ?

I bought the smaller pack that the Imperial Guys were offering during the Festool Open House at Wood World when the new/ rebuilt Festool display section was being shown off.
A 10 pack would be a lot of blades at once for me too, as I don't seem to kill either my stock Feins or Imperials like other people post about. so I was happy to get the 3 pack when I could.
I have zero complaints about the blades that I've bought from Imperial either.

Can you verify or debunk an quirk that was mentioned on another forum that you cannot attach the imperial blades at 45 degree angles on a MultiMaster? i.e. can the blade be attached only at 90 degree angles?

Not true- I just took two photos to disprove this. Will upload once my dinosaur laptop gets through iTunes sync .

NO NOT TRUE!  You cannot put the imperial blade at a 45*.
I checked it today.Only 4 position.
Maybe some blades has more setting.I use the 1.25" coarse blades

Since I bought my blades recently, I must have those new types. My picture is quite clear [big grin]

Did the Fein 10 packs just go down in price? I just purchased 2 10-packs (I seem to go through them regularly) and they were actually a bit cheaper than the comparable Imperial blades.:'(

Don't know, but would not suprise me as Fein has to start stopping their market losses with more gusto soon.
  [blink]

They sure have dropped in price.  I just ordered a set of 10 Fein e-cut 1 1/8 inch wide blades - ~$72 to my door.

[attachthumb=#]  Here is a picture of one of the old style Imperial Blades-Notice the round hole in the middle-The newer ones, that allow the 45 degree mounting of the blade in a Fein MM, have a square hole now.  The old style blade DOES allow 45 degree mounting in OTHER blade holding systems, just not Fein's.. [embarassed]
