Fein SUCKS

[eek]

Do you mean their vacuums or just in general?  [tongue]

Ha lol

Well I don't think Fein suck. But I do think the Vacuums suck abit  they arnt brilliant.

Suction is much lower than Festool vacs.   Not being able to stack systainers or place tools ontop of the Fein vac is very annoying.   The hose which comes with Fein vac are rubbish  well not the actual hose but the end of the hose which you attach to the tools is rubbish with hard plastic end and few adapters.  Good thing about it though festool hoses do fit the Fein vac to overcome the crappy hose supplied with the Fein.

Also not being able to lock the wheels to stop it moving about is annoying.  But I do like how it wheels about very smooth and can go any direction with its many wheels.

You must have had a dud, or the CT26's have a lot more suction than the CT22's.

I had a Fein Turbo II vac for 10 years and in many ways, I liked it better than the CT22's I have now.

It definitely seemed to have more suction and in general was a more powerful vacuum.  In addition to that, it was quieter at it's single speed compared to the CT22 at it's fastest switch setting.

The plastic tub is indestructible, and the motor plastic seems much more durable than the Festool plastic vac surround.

I do appreciate the Festool being a systainer cart/storage, and the lower height is a plus; the variable suction is obviously a must.  But those Fein Turbo's are great vacs.  The bags are cheap too at about $3.50 a pop.

The hose is every bit as good as the Festool, though the end fitting is a hard plastic as opposed to a soft rubber.  It's also a more usable 15' or so, compared to the shorter Festool hose.

I have both 22 and 26CT  and bother are more powerfull than my mates Fein vac not sure which Fein vac he has ill have to check.

I was referring to the end of the hose not the actually hose soz.  The hard plastic end aint great.  YEah the longer hose is nice!

YEs I agree it is very quiet.  but again the suction is defiantly less and his is only few months old and I tested it with mine when he had it BRAND new.

Yesterday  I was using his Fein and told him I could suck harder my self  he opened it up to find his filter bag had ripped and his main filter was blocked oh dear! That didnt last very long!  I have had my Long life bag for my CT22 for couple years now.

Don't get me started on ripped paper filter bags in my CT22!  Festool ought to send me two ten packs just for the supreme hassle of cleaning up after 5-7 blowouts with the old style CT22 paper bags.  Seems it happened frequently enough that they must have had a bad batch come through the factory.

I also have the CT22 longlife which was a great investment used at $90.00 shipped.  $230 or so new and I might have a different impression of it.

Wasn't sucking up nails or wet stuff either....

Your friends Fein vac is screwed up then. I have 4 Feins and 2 Ct's and the Feins are every bit as good and have as much or more suction then the Festool CT's.

I personally prefer the Festools, but to say the Festools are far superior is simply incorrect. I have used both Fein and Festool vacs for many years, both old and new models and they are neck and neck in performance. Each have their pros and cons.

I welcome anyone to come  and check my Feins side by side with my CT's  and you will see the Feins have every bit as much power and they are quieter. The Fein vacs do get louder over time, I have not noticed this with the Festool vacs.
