I have a 1999 Felder BF741 Combination machine and was wondering if anyone had information/experience on how to separate the saw/shaper unit from the jointer/planer unit in order to be able to operate as two separate machines. When I purchase the machine I remember reading that it was possible but know nothing beyond that. I spoke with Felder service and they said it is possible but that an $1100 electronics package would need to be purchased and didn't have any information beyond that. I was hoping that there was a cheaper way to get it done with off the shelf control electronics.
