I'm contemplating a Felder K700 sliding table saw, but before I get too far into the process, I'm wondering if I can get it into my basement shop. Can anyone here confirm the minimum width? I need to move it through a 35" opening to my basement stairs.

I suggest contacting Felder about this.  They sent me the outline drawings for a different machine when I had dimensional questions.

The smallest K700 weighs 1100 lbs so if it fits, you will need some good rigging to get it there.

I spoke to a sales guy at Felder today and was told it could fit through a 32" door. But when I look at images on the web comparing it to the K500 and Hammer K3, it's obviously larger. I asked him to send me a picture if it with a tape measure as proof, but figured I'd ask an owners opinion here as well. I'm also waiting for him to send the measurements you spoke of. Unfortunately I've run across too many people in life who make up facts on the fly, so I've grow accustomed to checking and double checking.

Regarding the weight, yeah, it's very heavy. You can strip a few hundred pounds off, but 7-800 pounds down a flight of stairs is likely a job for the pros.

I received confirmation that it will fit. The right section of the lower cabinet can be removed which reduces the overall width.
