FELO sale at KCTOOL

Be forewarned.

I clicked that link once a couple of months back and I have received an email every day ever since from KC Tool.

Not a burden, but I did not know I was signing up for that.

[member=74278]Packard[/member] there is usually a link at the bottom of KC Tools emails that takes you to a page where you can unsubscribe from their stuff.

Thanks.  I will check with tomorrow’s email.

Thanks again.  I am unsubscribed. But my notice remains:  If you click the link, you will receive daily emails from KC Tool.

Some of the tools are interesting, so some might find the posts entertaining.  And the unsubscribe function is at the bottom of the page.

Nothing devious going on.  I just get too many emails daily and with some of the more nefarious sites, the “unsubscribed” link is simply confirmation that the address is real and being used.

Tomorrow I will know if that worked.

Visiting a website may track you if you are a client of that website already.  This is one of the main reasons I no longer bother even visiting the ToolNut website, even just to look at prices, unless I'm using an incognito/private browsing session.  I cannot stand the nag/reminder emails of the "Did you find what you were looking for?" variety.  Woodpecker and Blue Spruce do that, too, but usually only if you click on one of the links in their emails.

If KCTool is using a simple visit as a de facto/implicit request to re-subscribe to their email notifications, then that is abhorrent behaviour that should be stopped.

All that aside, the only FELO offerings in which I was interested were sold out before I even clicked the link in my email, so the "sale" as far as I'm concerned is kind of a bust.  YMMV.
