I just read the Seneca http://www.senecawoodworking.com/products/domiplate-for-1-2-and-3-4-ply  domiplate information and am somewhat appalled - no, not with Seneca, but with the need to spend $65 for an attachment that circumvents the problem in a ~$1,000 tool (Domino) namely fence drift. I just finished joining a bunch of ½" stock with the smaller Dominos, and sure enough, I had fence drift, ruining the alignment.  [doh]

Is there not any compensation or fix from Festool for the fence drift problem???...  or am I just not aware of it? But someone please enlighten me.

I'll speak to my own question, in subsequent comments discovered (search domino fence drift) - see http://festoolownersgroup.com/festool-tools-accessories/check-this-out-df500-offset-base/. Numerous discussions (4 or 5 pages thereof) speak to the drift issue, but then in themselves drift to related features in a $400, admittedly exquisite trinket from Woodpeckers.

While they don't specifically or adequately answer the question, they provide a lot of insight.

Answer: fiddle with the locking mechanisim yourself to try to adjust and/or use shop made jigs.
