0.20 to 3.35 - Festo have built a kangaroo, an ant and a butterfly – these things are incredible and definitely well worth seeing.
Whoever thought of them - designed them - built them – what they’ve achieved is nothing short of amazing. All very impressive I must say…

All this stunning fantastic brilliance made me wonder how long it might take them to come up with a solution to the TS-55R dust port drooping towards the guide rail. Some glue that keeps the splinter guard stuck to the guide rail more than 3 months would be nice too.  It can’t be that hard to do surely?  Not if you can make a man-made butterfly do all that butterfly flying stuff and I know for a fact that Makita splinter guard stays stuck...

Cool Post.

I doubt that the engineers making these robotic creations are the same ones who would be working on adhesive and dust extraction nozzle rotation issues.  They are two different companies after all.

But as you said, you have found a solution for the splinter strip.  While you are waiting for a cure for the TS-55 issue, the next time you take the side off your TS-55 to clean the insides of the metal blade shroud, a wrap or two of tape on the dust collection fitting might help you out until Festool addresses this issue.
