Hello to everyone,
this is my first post to this forum!
I have a FESTO LET 150/7 pneumatic sander (picture below) which I bought from a closing car painting shop, and I have a compressor with 1/4" BSP fitting. I was wondering what I should purchase in order to connect the sander, as the connector on the sander is very different.
I know that ideally I'd have the festool hose with the compressor tube integrated in the middle but...those are very expensive. I just wanted to find a way to use it, also if I then cannot use the dust extraction.
Thanks!!
L

For LEX 3, LEX 2 and LRS there is part# 497214 which is an adapter to run the sander without dust extraction and regular compressed air fitting. ->https://www.festool.com/accessory/497214---ias-3-sd

I have absolutely no idea if that will fit on the much older sander that you have.

Unless someone here can confirm or name another part - your best bet is either calling Festool directly to ask about it, or find a stocking dealer who sells the Festool air tools and might have this part available so you can check it out/ dry fit in store.

Kind regards,
Oliver

Thanks Oliver!

I had found that but...the issue is that for my FESTO sander the pneumatic inlet is not in the centre of the dust hose, as in the FESTOOL one, but it's close to one side...

That's part of the NAINA
I didn't know that Festool pneumatics existed until I joined this forum, and you still don't hear much about them.

From what shop owners and my Snappy have told me, compressed air is by far the most expensive power source. And my wild guess is, trying to use such a sander without the appropriate infrastructure behind it won't be much fun/ a great user experience. That might be part of why we don't hear much about here.

Kind regards,
Oliver

Thanks to everyone,

I actually have a reasonably powerful compressor - I already have another Festool air sander, but that's a newer version with a different attachment (the compressed air hose is in the middle of the dust hose).
I'll keep looking!

Thanks
Lorenzo
