Recently bought the 1010 router and was stupid to just assume it will be compatible with Porter cable dove tail jig. Now, I just found out that none of the bits actually fits the router and secondly not even the lock nuts can't be attached to the router. (It's the peice that work as guides)

Is there any accessories that I can buy that will make this work or do I just have to bite the bullet and buy and buy a new router?
Does festool sell them or is it third party accessories?

I use my 1010 with a Leigh dovetail jig, works fine.    Mine came with an insert that a PC style router guide bushing will fit.  I use a Leigh insert designed for the 1010 that allows for it to be centered, it is the 704R.

The 1010 takes 1/4" and 8mm shank bits, doesn't support 1/2" shank bits.  For that you need a different router.

Hope this helps.

The pc dovetail jig comes with two 1/2” shank bits and two 1/4” shank bits. Of1010 maxes out at 8mm (largest imperial shank  size is 1/4”).  You can just replace the the 1/2” bits with 1/4” or 8mm ones.

You will need:

1.) 17/32” 7 degree dovetail with 1/4” or 8mm shank
2.) 13/32” straight bit with 1/4” or 8mm shank

A cursory check showed that you can get them from many makes.  $10-25 each depending on brand/quality.

As for the porter cable template guide bushings, what country are you in? In the US, the OF 1010 ships with an included porter cable guide bushing adaptor.  It’s the standard here.

Your router should have come with this.

Additionally, I highly advise you buy a centering come to align the bushing adaptor.  You don’t need to buy the $40 Festool one.  There are cheaper alternatives ($8-15).
