Festool 1400 stuck in plunge position

Has anyone had a problem with their router getting stuck in the full plunge position?Today I tried using a pc guide bushing and spiral uncut bit. 1/2 bushing and 1/4 bit. The bushing came loose and heated up. As a result the unit is stuck in down position.

Any tips on how to fix this. Due to the position I can’t reach to remove the bit or guide bushing...

Ha! I’ve done this before, too. I’m guessing the collet is jammed inside the brass PC guide bushing. Maybe try a couple spreader clamps on opposite sides to raise the router.
