Like other Fogers I always wanted Festool to have a 36mm right angle attachment. So when I got my new midi I noticed the hose is now tapered and get larger at the end ( 32mm ), so I took the hose apart to look at the right angle attachment and took my 36mm hose apart and was pleasantly surprised that the 36mm hose actually fit in. you can't get the ring or attachment piece on the 36mm hose from the right angle peice ( so it doesn't swivel around ) but the hose fits so snugly in that its hard to actually pull it apart so you don't have to worry about it separating.
I know I'll have some comments that you can buy something at home depot for $4 but if your like me and want all Festool components as much as possible then this is a good solution for you, especially if your concerned about is all staying anti static.
an example of wanting a right angle attachment for the 36mm hose is obviously using either the mini or midi but in my case is fitting the dust deputy under the MFT , with out it the hose it kinked under the table but as you can see below the right angle makes it work perfectly, I also really like having anti static festool hoses connected to the dust deputy .
