Hi everyone. My first festool was a txs-12 v drill then I purchased a cxs12. It has begun

As of today I’ve aquired,
Rotex 90
Cleaning kit
Ets 125 (3)
Rts 400
Dts 400
Sustainers for abrasives.

Soon 36 auto clean , planex

…and festool bumper sticker.

Congrats, you're off to a great start!

You'll love the RO90, it's a sensational sander!

As all Festool sanders are really.

The Planex is marketed as a drywall sander but I've used mine to also sand 3/4" sub-flooring. Some 40-60-80 grit and walking along with it at hip level...so simple to use. I'd also try it for sanding decks... 🤷‍♂️

As you go deeper into the Festool "addiction" just know that here, you are among understanding friends.

I can also attest to the addiction as having finally acquired my first Festool about six months ago! For me it went: DTS400--RO90--DF500--ETSEC15/5--MIDI--KS120

Looks like you are diving into the sanders. What do you do with them?

There is a vaccine for this, but RFK is refusing to review the data, so not available.

Sorry, but FAS (Festool Acquisition Syndrome) is incurable once your brain is infested. It may be too late for you …

I once went almost a full day without a Festool tool, worst day of my life, absolutely horrific and wouldn't wish it on anyone! ;-(

Yeah. I heard it too, they say it is from the M-word guys. Some other Germans. Kennedy apparently does not want to approve another imported vaccine, enough that the virus is imported.

EDA in EU had it apparently approved, but our single-payer insurance system does not want to cover it. They say the costs do not justify the savings.

Part of the genius of Festool, is sponsoring this site, which fosters and help fuel the addiction, and most especially, the unfathomable addiction to the Systainer.

I came from the direction of camera protection, and Pelican had the same level of (basically unwarranted) devotion. (I prefer soft cases, and when travelling, I place the soft cases in hard side coolers which provided impact protection and protection from heat—also thieves are less likely to break into a car to steal a soda and a sandwich than a camera or a track saw).

Surprisingly, there appears to be no Systainer-specific forum websites.

I still think that Pelican has the advantage over a Systainer. They have far greater impact resistance, and can be placed as a regular cargo item on a commercial flight.
