Not sure if this is where this belongs..

Has anyone seen the "AI Commercial" from Festool?

I think its pretty lame and off brand, and shows how poor AI is at "creating content."

Why are they showing a disorganized workshop and promoting an app to find their tools? They should be promoting their systainer system, and an organized shop where you can always find something. App connected tools in my opinion will quickly be obsolete.

It would be interesting to know the market share of Festool's customers, professionals vs hobbyists. I think Festool should be focusing on the professionals that use their tools and the advantage of their tools in a professional setting. That truly is terrible!

But I didn't realise that my sander could fill in a hole - must try that  [big grin]

its so stupid it's perfect

Agreed.

There's already a ton of Festool produced content out there -- in numerous languages -- promoting all the things mentioned. This video is silly and equally worthy of a laugh or an eye roll.

As for the app, I installed it on my phone after I bought a CT Midi and it alerted me to a CT software update.

Wow. Those are some amazingly beautiful floors.

Why would market share of pros vs. hobbyists matter? I would guess Festool wants to achieve consistent growth and to achieve that, they're actively courting both pros and hobbyists through all of the previously mentioned content.

AI is not exactly covering itself in glory IMO.
Those who promote it have overpromised and underdelivered, so far. And that is quite the opposite of Festool.

As a human tool marketing professional, I have a new-found sense of job security.  [big grin]

What I find interesting is the amount of production time and effort that went into actually filming the hare-brained idea that was generated by the "AI" tool.

I mean, it's one thing to get the concept from AI, but to actually take the time to make the sets, the costumes, etc...  Mind boggling...
