Festool air sanders and accessories

Looking at buying some accessories and noticed that on the Festool page the accessories listed with the sander are not the same accessories listed under the vacuum accessories.  For instance part number Service Unit Ve-Ct - 452797 is listed under accessories with the sander but Service Air Unit for Air Sanders - 495886 is listed with the vacuums.  I have a ct48 and want to make sure the parts are compatible before buying.  Thanks

From what I can see, 495886 is for the CT 26/36/48 (the current main line-up of Festool vacs) and 452797 is for the previous line-up (CT-22/33/44/55)

Festoolusa.com is just lousy in giving information.

That's what it seems like to me too.  I am wondering if they could be made compatible.  The Festool USA page is definitely a bit confusing on this topic.

From the picture I would say only the metal sheeting is different, to provide for a different way of mounting it. So yes, it could be made compatible, but if you have neither and they cost the same, just buy the right one and don't start modding.
