Hey, I'm new here and I'm having an issue with my Carvex. It seems that the pendulum is causing burning and over heating of my blades. The blades become extremely hot. The wood starts to smoke and of course burns the wood. The cut is also extremely hard to make. As though the blade was dull despite using a brand new one. Granted I am using Bosch blades in it but I have forever without this issue. Anyone else experience this?  I love all my Festool gear and I'm super bummed that my Carvex is acting up. Love it for cutting rough stock.

Thanks
Brian

It sounds like the carbide jaws are set too tight, which aren't allowing the blade to clear.

Here's a video that will help you fix it:

Let me know if you need more help with this.

Awesome. Thanks. I've never adjusted the jaws so that's interesting that they may have moved on their own but I'll certainly look into it. Thanks again.
