Festool Classes online

I would like to be able to watch all of the classes that are currently offered - either through a webcast, or a condensed version of the class.  I understand that it takes time and money to prepare this sort of material, and would be willing to donate / pay a 'premium membership' here / what have you to help cover the costs.  I can't get away for days on end these days, but I do have the time to watch several hours of video if I can pause it here and there.  I think that these would be highly educational, and probably help with your sales efforts.

Granted, they're not as good as getting to go to the classes, and play with the fun stuff, it would be a step in the right direction, and allow folks to see how the tools can be used, and open them up to possibilities that they may not have imagined.  After a certain amount of time, you could make the 'online classes' free to the masses, so there would be some value in having a membership.

Shane could just do another prize competition every one using the tool and want blade or sandpapers the best to use for certain job

We have plans to webcast training, but I don't have a definitive time frame for when that will happen.

Not really - I mean something along the lines of an hour or two in depth tutorial that show how "the system" works together.  I do enjoy the tool reviews, but by and large, we don't get a view of 3+ tools being used together to accomplish tasks (such as making a cabinet or doors).

Yes, I too support this idea. And yes, I'd be willing to donate for tutorials of this type. I'd donate even more if it was something I could download and save for occasional viewing. Either that, or pay for the tutorial(s) on DVD and have them sent to me.

I got one word for you... Podcast.  Just set up a video camera during the training sessions and post them as podcasts.  The Woodsmith Shop does this.  It shows non-Festool users how cool festools are.

i would love to see a podcast.
i think showing video footage of the festool classes is a great idea.
but i do not want to pay money to see anything.
either its free or i am not interested.

i reckon this is another great way for festool to advertise their products to the masses for free online.
