Connect is over for this year.  I just wanted to say thank you to everyone at Festool USA for putting together a great event!!  The demonstrations by Greg, Scott and Todd, and Mike were very good.  Kevin had a wonderful presentation as well.

Again thank you.   [thumbs up] [thumbs up]

I also thank Festool, USA for a tremendous event. Had a great time and enjoyed every minute.

I am also very thrilled to have had the opportunity to sit in on a market research session; Festool is considering a portable TS for the NA market. When I responded to their email request a few weeks ago for volunteers I really didn't expect much but it turned out to be pretty interesting and since it was a very small group (six or eight participants) I actually had the opportunity to add my two-cents. Like I said a pretty interesting conversation and it will also be interesting to see what becomes of this project. I understand that they are going to be hosting these discussions all weekend long a JLC. If you happen to be there and can jump into one of these sessions they do reward you with a nice little gift.

Of course, while I was in the marketing session I missed most of Kevin O'Connors presentation,,caught only the last few minutes. Missed Norm last year. Hoping maybe Tom Silva will be there next year, sure hate to miss him!

Thanks again Festool, USA. You are a class act!

Festool had several new tools that they were demoing, Any release dates?

Nice job on the video stream and audio - really easy to watch from afar.  Appreciated the demos and tips.

Enjoyed the demos and of course Kevin O'Connor's retrospective on his time on TOH and Ask TOH

Thank you Festool!

This was my first experience with Festool Connect. It was great - Good demonstrations and presentations, a sneak peek at new Festools, a chance to rub elbows with other FOGers, a box 'o swag, what could be better?

John

I watched and enjoy quite a bit of it but missed a lot also.

I thought Festool indicated itl was going to post it somewhere but can't find it.

Anyone know where it is posted?

Thanks,
Jim

Jim,

I can't find it archived either - yet.  I imagine with the sheer volume of data streaming in HD for more than 7 hours that it will take some time.

Shane isn't going to be as active here over the next few days.  Right now I imagine that the guys are either getting pumped up at a dinner prepping for the next couple of days or are putting the finishing touches on the booth.

I am sure Shane will post when he gets a chance.

I would like to know the same thing Mr. GPowers. Someone please indulge our curiosities!

I hope everyone who participated had a good time and found it useful. If the content is available in the future I'll do some late night watching. At this point I'm mainly curious when the livestream stuff will go away from the homepage, it's pretty much made FOG impossible via the iphone.

Not that I am aware of. And it's not even for sure that those tools will be coming to NA.

Seth

Actually, I AM sure that some of those tools will be coming to NA....in my household goods shipment from Germany in June!  [tongue]  Waiting to see what is announced on April 1st, and adjustiing my order with my German dealer depending on NA availability. [big grin]

Have you tried the tapatalk app for the fog?  Works great on Android!

I am sure that Shane will take care of that.  Over the next few days I know that he will not be as available to the forum as usual.  Whereas he uses an iPhone when away from a computer he will be experiencing the same situation.

It was very distracting.

Perhaps next year, FOG could just put up a link in a banner format for the stream, rather than direct streaming at the top of the pages.

Cheers,

Frank

I have this vision of Shane scrambling around town to find an Internet Cafe somewhere, and then sitting down at a computer between some teenagers on either side playing online war games, and then sweating out getting to the administrator section of this site to do the change.  [tongue] [big grin]
