Festool Connect 2015 in Providence, RI on March 19th

Is it bad that having just picked up 2 nice, well paying jobs, with a third in the pipeline (after several months of scraping by) I've just been on Expedia looking up flights & hotels in Providence? [eek]

It would be great to have you attend JRB and finally get to meet you in person.

Likewise! And meet up with a few others too, but I'm just fantasizing, really. With the money it'd cost, I could strike at least 2 Festools off my wish-list!

Still, didn't you give a prize out last year for the attendee who had travelled furthest??? [poke] [big grin]

I think the guy who traveled the furthest had to buy the first round, right? Isn't that how everyone remembers it from last year?  [big grin]

Nah, I'm sure you've got that the wrong way round... [tongue]

Shane, are you still going to attend the JLC this year?  If yes we need to get you properly calibrated before we send you off  ;)

Yup, I'll be there.  [big grin]

Is the registration link still working? It just seems to be going in a loop today after filling out the fields.

Sorry, can you refresh the page and try again. Yesterday was the cut off to get JLC passes for folks through our Connect registration system.

For those who cannot make it to the Festool mecca next week, we plan to offer a live broadcast of the days events online. So, save the date. I will post more about how to view online next week.

For those who are coming, just a reminder that we are expecting a LOT of people and seating is available on a first come basis.

Look forward to seeing all my old buddies and meeting some new faces again this year.

Oh Yea!  Went last year for the first time.  Was amazed how fast the day went.  The presentations were good but I really got a lot out of moving around and talking to other Festool users.  Picked up on some great techniques and tricks while reviewing the various Festool systems that were set up around the conference room.  There were many master tradesmen from the different woodworking disciplines that would chime in on an issue or technique from their perspective.  As my dad used to say, "Eye and ears open, mouth shut."

My personal highlight was watching the scribeing technique that the guy used to mark, cut (Carvex), and assemble those non linear wood bed headboards and furniture, e.g the type of furniture that uses debarked wood with the bark removed but still has the round outer cambium of the tree showing.  I want to try that one of these days.  [smile]

I'm in  [big grin] [big grin] [big grin] [big grin] [big grin]

Unfortunately I am unable to attend this year.    [sad] [sad]

Hopefully will catch the live feed.  To those going have fun, hopefully next year will allow me to go!

I'm in!  Shane, is it too late to sign up this year?  I have a friend who is really interested, he lives in Warwick.

We stopped accepting registrations yesterday because we need a final count for catering, etc. Your friend can still come.

Any hints on what time to get there if you want a seat?  Long time "Forum Lurker/Festool collector", and I'm driving down from Boston for the day.

Thanks,
-Eric
