And tell me thats not a real 1010 photoshopped.

At least one of the pictures on the Safun Tool website is a reworked example of a picture that appeared in a Festool catalogue here in Australia a few years ago. I don't know how to extract a single picture from a .pdf file so I've included a screen capture (below) of the relevant section of the catalogue.

Picture from the Safun Tool website.

Screen capture from Festool catalogue.

Click on the thumbnails above to view larger pictures.

You can download the appropriate section of the Festool catalogue from Anthony's website using the following link.

The picture I've screen captured is on page 10 of the .pdf file.

Thanks Ian,

I looked all over the intertubes to prove my allegation and wasn't successful

or diligent enough.  I know I have seen that arm and watch before also.

Picture the design team at Safooey.

First you get picture.

Then we get order.

Then we maybe make tool to exciting resourceful standards.

Mirboo,
Those photos are fascinating.  We have some photography experts here.  Can you detect color manipulation in those photos?  There's hardly a doubt, in my mind, that those are the same images.

Per,

I'm pretty sure I had seen that pic in one of Jerry W.'s Manuals

look at the rest of their router offerings.  Direct knock offs of just about everyone else out there.  Shameless hucksterism...

And for a good laugh look at the bottom of their web page !

Very interesting. Looks like they make allot of other well known routers as well.

I like this statement under the "Company" Heading

Company Brief

This company is a famous enterprise that specilizes in manufacturing power tools, and has passed ISO9001(2000edition)Quality System Certifications.Several kinds of products have gained GS,CE,UL,CSA,LCIE Certifications.Adhering to the tenet of "Towin the customer'tust, and serving the marker",the company has strong capacity of developing new products, well known for its export power tools, and produces OEM products for several famous foreign companies. We sincerely expect businessmen at home and abroad to come, sincerely cooperate with us and create a flourishing future.Your presence and guidance are requested.

It's possible they aren't even making the tool yet, just testing
the market to see if buyer's are interested.

Not that I wouldn't expect them to knock-off the Festool,
but they probably wouldn't get the arbor and bearings
as precise and the durability wouldn't be as good.

I think the Festool one-handed router design has been
around for  a long, long time.  I saw some old pictures
somewhere.  Perhaps the patents have run on the
old design and the Chinese company is intending not
a straight knock-off of the current model, but a version
of the older one.

The photo of the router on the bench is exactly the same as the Festool one. They didn't even bother to change the "plug-it" which is not on their router!
