Festool CSC SYS 50 Table Saw - Error While Calibrating

I have been lugging my SYS 50 around all over the place storing it vertically mostly, and touch wood no issues so far. It did play up one time and I though here we go, turned out to be a sliver of timber in the wrong place.

Thanks for posting these ideas. I unboxed my new CSC SYS 50 today and ran into problems with the initial calibration failing (reference drive cancelled). I got the app to pair and the firmware was already up to date. I looked in the panel under the slider, and the service panel under the folding table but I didn’t see anything obviously in the way. But I’ll turn it over and try taking off the bottom panel. I saw the manual also has the end stops circled in 13.6 Cleaning the End Stops starting on page 28 which might help narrow down what to look for.

Does anyone know the order it tests the stops in the calibration? Mine seems to fully retract, then fully extend and fully bevel the blade, then seems to get to a point where the blade is partway extended and seems to be checking the negative bevel stop when it fails. The app says it’s at 30mm and -11.6°. I’m not sure if that helps to focus on what might be happening with particular stops.

Somewhere in the process of flipping the saw to various orientations to check the end stops, and retrying the reference drive calibration, a small and crushed O-ring fell out of the service door the third or fourth time I opened it. After that, the saw completed the initial reference drive calibration! It’s time to make some sawdust.

Hi,
I went to use my saw yesterday. I don't know why, but it decided to calibrate. Which it cannot complete and always leads to an error. I connected my phone to the app and there was an update - but I think it was just for the battery. I took the saw apaert and cleaned it and still no joy. Now I have to ship it to Festool. Are there no local repair stations in Los Angeles? The saw is big and heavy to ship.
Why would the saw, which was working perfectly decide that it needed to calibrate? Is there a reset button?
any tips will be greatly appreciated.

Did Festool fix it?

What was the problem and solution?
