Festool CT 48 E AutoClean HEPA (BROKEN) SHIPPED BACK TO ME DAMAGED!!!!

[member=75217]squall_line[/member] I’m the original owner. Purchased as a pre-order before it was even released. The 2 day turn around is them having it for 2 days. That’s really all the 2 day is from my experience. But my version of two days has been 2 weeks in total and getting it back with damage.

[member=69848]scbucc[/member] thanks for sharing. Well I can’t say it’s been stellar given the fact I’m the original owner and received it back with more damage than it’s ever had.

[member=44099]Cheese[/member] what else can I do. I’m a spec of dust unless I get the traction of the community. Just saying good or bad this is well you know 💩

Festool's 30-day return policy has often been cited as a de-facto rental system that people are prone to abuse with tools such as the Planex.
It's only 14 days in the UK.

Unfortunately most dealers don't have loaner Festool tools to provide the way some car dealerships have loaner vehicles while a customer's car is in the shop (and I don't know the legality of such with their dealership agreements with FUSA), but it seems like a program that could provide added value in a case like this.
...
Over here most serious dealers have tool rentals. To a good customer (i.e. one known not to abuse tools) they would either rent their rental tool for cheaper or free without consumables.

Onto Festool service, I would presume that 2 days turnaround is not a guarantee, but something they will strive to meet and from what I gather most of the time they do. If it takes longer, it is mostly the specific part needing replacing is not in local stock so has to be shipped over from the main warehouse. Possibly overseas in case of the US. Should not happen, but will inevitably happen once in a while as stocks deplete and cannot be always replenished in time. Especially these days when shipping costs are 5x as they were for air cargo.

[mad] Alright so this week come Monday I contacted Festool. They send me the next day air shipping slip to repair the shipping damage that occurred. As they advised they received it with no damage as how I shipped it to them. So I get it back yesterday on 2/10. Good job Festool. But here’s my issue now as I’m using my machine with the in both AUTO or MANUAL. The freaking machine keeps engaging the AC (Air Cleaner) knocking feature. I have the mode turned off. I double checked it to ensure that it’s not me  [huh]. So now I again have to reach back out to Festool to resolve this issue as it seems there’s something faulty in the control board as this didn’t occur before or I’m gonna assume they some how miswired something when they put it back together. THIS IS TRULY IRRITATING. I’ve played with all the settings to ensure it’s not me and yet I’m still having issues FESTOOL. COME ON!!!!

At this point I’m just besides myself with the lack of this entire Service Factor….. As arrogant as you all are about your products well they ain’t living up the hype as I’m clearly seeing! CALL YOU MONDAY! GET LEFT IN THE DUST BY YOUR PRODUCTS ~FESTOOL should be the slogan at this point.

Oh well. Even a Plan C wouldn't be enough for the kind of experience you share here.

That sucks!

Do you have to send in the whole thing again, or just the top?

A good "plan B" for a vac is to have another vacuum to use. Not a high end one, but "good-enough" one. I have a $100 Makita dedicated to the mitre saw. It is no good on the bag economics or power, but it is good-enough for anything the CT36 can do sans auto-clean.

If I was a pro, needing AC for my gigs, I would have the cheapest AC-capable vac in that role instead.

This is not to say I do not feel for the OP. When junk happens, it tends to happen properly. But changing brands will NOT help here. A good backup/contingency plan is the only thing that really helps.

But buying quality stuff is NOT a contingency plan. In the same way using RAID is NOT a backup plan. /for those from the IT world/

Shout out too Leesha High. If any of you do not treat this woman in a genuine way I hope you learn the lesson that you are taking out your frustrations on her. I would recommend as I did in every time I called her. To say I am frustrated and this is not your fault but I am going to do my best to restrain you feeling my emotional response. That is what a genuine an confident man would do.  :)

I will revise this later but long story short still awaiting a brand new unit as the item was sent back with continued issues. An I am content because of the experience and ability that Leesha High was able to provide me as a customer. Treat your interactions well the reward is both ways. Just awaiting for it to be delivered. But does not take away the failures in the Manufacturing Processes you have FESTOOL.

An Lars you are not a genuine person. I had a very direct and personal conversation with you. You wanna control things outside of you and that is the very illusion of control. Mic Drop.

I think I heard most of this somewhere before.
Stand by to be enlightened. :-)
