Hi. I got an older CT Midi, the one with auto/max and turtle/hare switch and not much else.
Worked perfectly well for me on my own home projects for the three years i have owned it. Not doing this for money, just for myself. previous life the vacuum was in a wood shop.
Anyway, last time it was 100% was before I was sanding when plastering. The hepa filter was clogged and i don't think the vacuum liked that very much.
it has a new hepa filter, a new bag and has just been used to vacuum up after removing a fireplace right now. But it has been wonkey for a while.
So now it starts, runs for a minute to five minutes, then dies. I have to take it out, wait a few seconds and plug it in. So it works. Just a bit like when I am running, I really don't do hills and other stuff that is really draining.
It seems to me to be the turbine. How do I know if it just need new brushes and how do I do that, or if the turbine should be replaced? Or could it be something else that make a new turbine or new brushes a waste of money?
Any idea what to do? I really like the vacuum, so I'd prefer to keep it for the next decade or so.
